Scholarship Description
The Cecilia Moy Yep Scholarship Fund was established in 1994 by the Asian American Women’s Coalition to recognize female Asian American high school students who have made a positive and lasting impact on our local community through their service and leadership. The scholarship will help finance post-high school education. Multiple scholarships are awarded each year in varying amounts.
Students who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply for a scholarship:
- Asian American Female high school 12th grade student graduating in May/June.
- Live in one of the following Pennsylvania counties: Philadelphia, Delaware, Montgomery, Chester, or Bucks.
- Need financial assistance.
- Participate in community service and extracurricular activities.
- Minimum of 3.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
- Start college/university in the upcoming Summer/Fall.
Eligibility Requirements
- 3.0 Minimum GPA
- Must currently be in high school
- Must be Female
- Type of institution award is open to: two-year college
- Type of institution award is open to: four-year college
- Must be Asian/Pacific Islander
- Award is available to U.S. citizens
