Scholarship Description

The Ruth Bailey Bryant ME! Scholarship  is sponsored by ME! Motivated and Empowered.

Mrs. Ruth Bailey Bryant was a dedicated and caring elementary school teacher for 39 years in Wake County. She attended Shaw University achieving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. She completed a Master’s degree in Education at North Carolina Central University.

My grandmother was always passionate about the importance of education and doing your best in school so that you can help others. The recipient of this scholarship should demonstrate qualities of dedication, hard work and a caring, willing heart to motivate and empower others.

Eligibility:

• Open to incoming or current full-time students enrolled in an undergraduate program at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) for the Fall semester
• Must be 24 years of age or younger
• Minimum 2.8 GPA  for the most recent high school or college semester

• Type of institution award is open to: two-year college
• Type of institution award is open to: four-year college
