Scholarship Description
CEA is committed to changing students’ lives by providing them with essential financial aid needed to study abroad. More than two million dollars is given to students for study abroad programs each year by CEA. To be eligible for these study abroad scholarships, students must enroll in CEA Study Abroad Programs and be attending CEA Affiliate Institutions.
ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS
CEA will automatically consider all summer and semester students with a GPA of 3.8 and above for a merit-based scholarship of $500.
OPPORTUNITY GRANTS
CEA will remove common barriers to participation by automatically considering students for the following awards:
- Flight Voucher ($1000) for students who identify as a first-generation college student, a BIPOC student, a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, a veteran, or if you attend an MSI (a Minority Serving Institution), you may apply for a credit that will be awarded in the form of a flight voucher with StudentUniverse to be used toward your study or intern abroad flight.
- Passport Application Subsidy ($130) This grant is specifically for students who are applying for their first-ever U.S. passport. These funds will be awarded as a check and can be used to cover your passport application fee.
- Work-Study Subsidy ($2500) To help bridge the financial gap for students who are foregoing on or off campus employment to study abroad, CEA will award funds in the form of a check made out to the student.
