Charles L. Hebner Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship Description

In honor of the former Speaker of the State House of Representatives

Eligibility requirements:

• Legal residents of Delaware
• U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens
• High school seniors with an unweighted cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0 and a combined score of at least 1000 on the SAT or the equivalent score on the ACT
• Enroll full-time at the University of Delaware or Delaware State University
• Major in the humanities or social sciences. Preference will be given to political science majors.
• Must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid ( FAFSA ) prior to the application deadline.

Award:

• Full tuition, required fees, room, board, and books at the University of Delaware or Delaware State University
• Renewable for up to three additional years with a cumulative GPA of 3.0
• One award/year/school

• Must currently be in high school
• For residents of the following states: Delaware
• Type of institution award is open to: four-year college
• Award is available to U.S. citizens
• Award is available to Canadian citizens
• Award is available to citizens of countries other than the U.S. and Canada.
