Scholarship Description

Applicant must be graduates of an accredited high school or the equivalent home school or institution and must plan to attend an accredited academic institution. Scholarship awardees must be enrolled full-time in order to receive their award. Awards may be used for tuition and tuition-related fees only.

Eligibility:

  • Dependent children and spouses of Navy personnel from the aviation community; Officer and Enlisted, active duty, retired, honorably discharged or deceased.
  • Applicants may be high school seniors or already enrolled in college or a trade/technical school program.
  • Service member sponsor must have served in Naval Aviation Commands for a total of 8 years.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Type of institution award is open to: two-year college
  • Type of institution award is open to: four-year college
  • Type of institution award is open to: trade/technical school
  • Award is available to U.S. citizens
  • Award is available to Canadian citizens
  • Award is available to citizens of countries other than the U.S. and Canada.

Donor: Wings Over America Scholarship Foundation

In 1987, the AIRLANT Wives Club noticed a need for scholarships within our community. Through a variety of fundraisers, including bake sales and fashion shows, they gave away their first scholarships. In the 33 years since, the foundation has experienced amazing growth in scope and breadth.
