Scholarship Description

An award of $5,000 will be given in memory of William S. Bullinger, a respected practitioner who tirelessly advanced the Association’s encouragement of professionalism, civility in practice, and dialogue between the Bench and Bar. The award is based primarily on economic need, although other criteria including academic promise and an interest in the subject matter of the Federal Circuit’s legal community are considered. Only one William S. Bullinger Scholarship is awarded each year; the winner is announced at the annual dinner in November.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Type of institution award is open to: four-year college
  • Award is available to U.S. citizens
  • Award is available to Canadian citizens
  • Award is available to citizens of countries other than the U.S. and Canada.
