Scholarship Description
The Sigma Delta Chi Foundation of Washington, D.C. (SDXDC) has announced changes to its longstanding scholarship program in an effort to assist area college students taking classes remotely during the pandemic.
Up to four scholarships — each for $2,500 — will be awarded. And, for the first time, recipients will be given the option of taking up to $900 of the award in digital equipment — a laptop computer, video camera, tripod, microphone, lights and/or light stands.
To qualify, students must show a financial need and demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in journalism. Students must be a current sophomore or junior (or equivalent), entering his or her junior or senior term.
Eligibility Requirements
- 3.0 Minimum GPA
- Award is available to U.S. citizens
- Award is available to Canadian citizens
- Award is available to citizens of countries other than the U.S. and Canada.
