Scholarship Description
The fellowship provides up to $4,000 for 8-12 weeks of research training in substance use and addiction specific to youth under a mentor with experience in the type of research that is being proposed, and whose work includes children and adolescents participants. Applications are considered from African-American, Native American, Alaskan Native, Mexican American, Hispanic, Asian, and Pacific Islander students in accredited U.S. medical schools or medical students whose research will focus on minorities. AACAP can assist with finding a mentor if needed. AACAP can assist with finding a mentor, if needed. The availability of all awards is contingent on the receipt of adequate funding.

- Must be Hispanic, Latino/a
- Award is available to U.S. citizens
