Scholarship Description
Scholarships are awarded for undergraduate Juniors, Seniors, or graduate study in fields related to the delivery of services to children with special needs and/or to those who have a disability for which he or she has received services. Consideration will be given for the areas of K-12 Special Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Special Education Supervision and Administration, or other related fields at the AASEA Scholarship Committee’s discretion. Consideration will be given to persons employed by or planning to be employed by school districts or educational cooperatives in Arkansas.
Two letters of recommendation from employers, supervisors, or professors are also required. Additionally, applicants should forward a photograph of themselves as part of the application process. The photograph should be appropriate for publication.
AASEA Legacy Scholarship applicants should have a family member who is a member of AASEA.
