Scholarship Description
Awards for children of veterans, who were prisoner of war or missing in action. Duration of the scholarship is four academic years (8 semesters) if used within 8 years. No limit on number awarded each year. Award value is $4500 per nine-month academic year in private colleges and junior colleges.
Eligibility Requirements
- For residents of the following states: North Carolina
- Type of institution award is open to: two-year college
- Type of institution award is open to: four-year college

- Resume Required
- Birth certificate showing name of veteran parent(s), Copy of your veteran parent's DD 214 (member copy 4), A copy of most recent Federal Tax Return filed for applicant and applicant's parents, NCDMVA-12, "Authorization For Release Of Information" , Two completed NCDMVA-23B(3) forms, Selective Service Registration acknowledgement (if applicant is 18 years old at time of application).
