Scholarship Description

Awards for children of veterans rated by USDVA as 100 percent disabled due to wartime service as defined in the law, and currently or at time of death drawing compensation for such disability. Parent must have been a North Carolina resident at time of entry into service. Duration of the scholarship is four academic years (8 semesters) if used within 8 years. No limit on number awarded each year.

  • Birth certificate showing name of veteran parent(s), Copy of your veteran parent's DD 214 (member copy 4), A copy of most recent Federal Tax Return filed for applicant and applicant's parents, NCDMVA-12, "Authorization For Release Of Information" , Two completed NCDMVA-23B(3) forms, Selective Service Registration acknowledgement (if applicant is 18 years old at time of application).
