Scholarship Description

The Elks Scholarship is awarded to five hundred students, with award amounts ranging from $1,000 to $7,500 per year, renewable for four years, are allocated nationally by state quota for graduating high school seniors.

The Top 20 scholars, selected from the 500 national semi-finalists, receive an invitation to the leadership weekend and scholarships of $30,000. The 480 runners-up receive scholarships of $4,000. Attendance at Leadership Weekend is required to be part of the Top 20 cohort and receive $30,000

Eligibility and other details:

Applicants do not need to be related to a member of the Elks.

Must be a U.S. citizen pursuing a 4-year degree full-time at an accredited, degree-granting U.S. college or university. A student may not receive more than one Elks National Foundation scholarship award or grant in any one academic year.

If a student would like to use his or her scholarship funds for a study abroad program, it must be billed through an accredited, U.S. degree-granting institution. We cannot issue funds to a third-party program or vendor.
