Scholarship Description
The Mary Olive Eddy Jones Art Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship offered to a high school senior who is majoring in an art-related field or sophomore or junior student in attendance at a college or university in West Virginia who is currently majoring in an art-related field.
Apply by printing and filling out the application and mailing it to our office: 1000 Galliher Drive, Fairmont, WV 26554.
Students applying must:
- Mail in a typed resume.
- Mail in a Letter of Intent that describes your career interest in art and why you should receive this award, as well as any experiences you have had, and/or any influences on your decision.
- Mail in official transcript(s) from all schools – high schools and colleges – attended. Transcript(s) must include SAT or ACT scores, and must be sent in an envelope with an official seal or the guidance counselor/registrar’s signature written across the seal of the envelope.
- Mail in two evaluation forms. One evaluation form must be from a teacher. Both evaluation forms must be in separate envelopes with the recommender’s signature written across the seal of the envelope.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must currently be in high school
- For residents of the following states: West Virginia
- Type of institution award is open to: four-year college
- Award is available to U.S. citizens
