Scholarship Description

Established in 1987, in memory of Ms. Joan Bowden, 1984-85 President and member of the Board of Directors of the Montgomery AFCEA Chapter. It is presented annually to an ROTC student attending a university located in the AFCEA Mid-South Region, including the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and northwest panhandle of Florida, who is a student in the Air Force option. Additional requirements include 2 letters of recommendation.

Eligibility Requirements

  • 3.0 Minimum GPA
  • For residents of the following states: Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi
  • Served in Air Force
  • Type of institution award is open to: four-year college
  • Award is available to U.S. citizens
