Scholarship Description
Up to $1500 award for residents of federally assisted housing or a recipient of assistance through the Community Development Block Grant program in Florida. Must be a high school senior and meet income requirements as defined by HUD for public/assisted housing and Community Development Block Grant targeted area recipients. Must have a sponsor that is an active member of FAHRO as a housing authority/agency or community development agency that is willing to support travel expenses to attend Annual Convention awards banquet to receive scholarship if selected. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

- Must currently be in high school
- For residents of the following states: Florida
- Type of institution award is open to: two-year college
- Type of institution award is open to: four-year college
- Must be Black, African American
